Wow this is beautiful! I love it, it's just so fresh and peaceful. The dresses are lovely, did you paint the designs on them or did you use some textured paper? I couldn't quite tell, either way this is wonderful piece well done!

Thanks Nicola.

The dresses are made from rice paper that I have stuck down then painted over.

They are my favourite papers to use in collage. :-)

Thanks Julie-Ann. What a sweet thing to say. :-)

And yes, Quilt Works, I have looked at that. It's a gorgeous piece. But I am so bad at naming art! I'll see if I an come up with something. :-)

That's true, this is so peaceful...I really love the dresses too, and the big sweet eyes of your ladies... ^_^

Thanks Mika. I really love the effect of painting over the top of rice paper.

Thank you so much for your warm message.
I have had a really great time looking at your Etsy shop, the girl in the room with the clock is a favorite, love all the items, a little alice in wonderland. She looks so happy with her room. You paint so many different colours and patterns and they all work together beautifully. Very brave and it works so well!
Thank you for sharing your inspirational art.

Thanks Julie-Ann.

The Crazy Cat Lady painting was a huge undertaking. The canvas is 4ft x 4 ft (it was a commissioned piece) and took months to finish - partly because I felt so overwhelmed by it and partly because I broke my right arm in the middle of painting it! The girl I painted it for loved it though so it was all okay in the end. :-)
