An Ocean of Tears

That might be a tacky heading, but it's how this painting feels to me. That lump in your throat where you feel your sadness is as big as the world, and that if you start to cry, you just might never stop.
I didn't set out to make this painting feel that way - but when that is what I began to feel as I looked at it, I knew it was time to stop.

Lovely - beautifully painted and the sentiment is great (if a bit sad) xo

HOw are you, Maia? You have been quiet on your blog!

I love how you painted this canvas. It reminds me of another Australian artist that was selling on Ebay - she painted on fabric, and I loved buying her fabrics as backgrounds for my art work. Have you thought of ever doing this? This canvas looks a look like her "sea" fabric.

Hi Lisa and Quiltworks,

Thank you for your comments and kind words. :-)

I am feeling very low art wise at the moment. Just can't seem to find the point in doing anything at all. I am sure it will come back to me at some stage but in the mean time there's not much happening creatively for me.

I do appreciate your encouragement though. :-)

Kind regards,
Maia
